Little black dress

As much as I love to add colour to my outfits all year around, I always find black to be a 'safe option' for outfit looks. Not only a 'safe option' but a classic and timeless one. The most famous LBD (little black dress) that every single girl in this world owns is versatile, perfect for all seasons and ideal for day and night and never goes out of fashion.

A girl cannot have to many black dresses including myself. As a fashion lover throughout the years, I collected lovely pieces in my wardrobe that I am proud of and worn in special occasions, such as weddings, formal events, office parties and on a night out for drinks with my girls.

But every year, fashion designers come up with new styles to dress up the black dress. We've seen different versions of this iconic dress, with lace, beaded, embroidered, with cut outs and off shoulders, and this year it's the beautiful mesh trend, this season's key trend.

This dress* features a lovely polka dot mesh sleeve and three layers of frills. The material is soft cotton and comes just above the knee. I decided to pair it with black ankle boots and red/pink tassel earrings.

The mesh detail on the sleeves makes it special and can be worn at several occasions. The day we took the photos was sunny but freezing so you may need a jacket on top if the weather is cold but it would be ideal to wear in the months of spring.

The photo above is my favourite from the bunch, I took some confetti with me and the result is so pretty, it looks like rain! I try to do different things regarding my outfit posts and I always find a special place/background for my photos. I hope you like them!

Thank you for visiting and I will see you soon!

Happy Friday xx
